How to Find a Job In The UK if You Live In Lebanon

If you are looking for a job in the UK and you live in Lebanon, you came to the right place.

Coming from Lebanon, I struggled a lot to find a job in the UK, but I finally found a way and this article will walk you through how I did it in detailed steps.

If you are Lebanese residing in Lebanon, you are most probably looking everywhere for jobs, not just in the UK. I totally understand.

Few years ago, finding a job in the GCC was very easy compared to these days, but since Lebanon has been facing a lot of resistance from the GCC, due to political problems, you need to look elsewhere.

In this article, I am showing you how I found a job in the UK through simple steps, but it took me a lot of research.

First, you need to understand that not all companies in the UK sponsors foreign workers. There are currently only around 30,000 companies that do so.

Here is a list of 1,000 companies sponsoring foreign workers with Tier 2 and Tier 5 visas.

You can also download the full list by clicking here.

What do you do with these companies? Do you apply to each company one by one?

If you do, you’ll spend ages until you apply to them all.

Here’s a step-by-step guide of what I did:

1- Categorise the companies by industry.

After you download the full list of these companies, you’ll notice that they are not classified by industry. You need to do that yourself.

companies sponsoring foreign workers UK

Copy and paste the whole data into Google Sheet.

Create a filter in Google Sheets and filter by condition, Text contains the industry you want to work in, in this example, we’ll take [Digital].

You will get a list of some 241 companies in the Digital industry.

Next, you save a new google sheet with these 241 companies.

Now that you have these companies, you need to get their websites to be able to research them one by one.

However, if you are lazy like me, you can skip the research part and get their email addresses instead.

To do that, I use an automation tool called Phantombuster.

After you sign up, use this Phantom.

Follow the instructions to get the domain names (websites) of these 241 companies.

Next, you’ll need to get the email address of these companies. For that, use this Phantom.

Amazing. Now you have the email addresses of 241 companies. You will send them one email using mailchimp.

What do you say in that email?

This is what I wrote in my email:

Monitor who opened and who clicked in mailchimp’s reports.

Those who opened and clicked are the ones you need to follow up with.

I didn’t have to follow up with any company as I got a reply from a company who called me up and invited me for an interview.

It was an easy strategy for me. Voila, this is how to find a job in the UK if you live in Lebanon.

Please feel free to share this article with your friends to spread the word.
